PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS: • The clinical team you would be joining shares 65 years of combined collaborative veterinary experience. This well-established hospital is independently owned by Drs. Marlon Hobbs (Texas A&M ‘92) and Karen Hobbs (Texas A&M ‘91). • We have 10 or more competent support staff members who along with the Doctors, ensure Stephenville and surrounding counties have access to qualified professionals who take pride in providing both small and large animal Veterinary services. Several employees have been with us 10 plus years, making work more like family. • The hospital is celebrating its 25th year in operation. THE OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking another “perfect fit” to our current practice after the sudden loss of our previous associate 15 months ago. • Applicants have the choice to be small animal exclusive or mixed animal. Our hospital is 90% small /10% bovine/equine/porcine. • Doctors work collaboratively believing in mentorship (esp. for new graduates). Our technical staff is utilized to the fullest potential making doctor responsibilities considerably less. • We believe strongly in a work-life balance working with your scheduling needs. A 32–38-hour work week with a 3-day weekend every other week. A 2-hour lunch period allowing time for record keeping and “catch-up time” before appointments resume at 2pm. • Applicant can choose amount of surgery involvement, 1 or 2 mornings/week. • Emergency call every other week for current clients only until 11 pm. (Avg. 1/week). Phone is answered after hours by a live operator/answering service who screens calls. The goal of Ark Veterinary Hospital is to provide comprehensive veterinary medical and surgical service in both small and large animal medicine with the emphasis on prevention of disease and education of clients.
Ark Veterinary Hospital was established January 1, 1999. The building was an existing veterinary hospital of 18 years and underwent significant renovations and equipment upgrades.
The free-standing 4600 sq.ft. building sits on 3 acres and houses the small animal hospital, including 4 exam rooms, surgery, diagnostic imaging room, treatment and surgical prep room and large boarding facilities.
In addition there are indoor equine and bovine examination areas, covered outdoor stalls, secure drive-through loading and unloading, a large horse barn with outdoor extended stalls. An exercise/lameness exam round pen is also included on the premise.
