Pet+ER is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6- to 9-month training and mentorship program (timeline dependent upon mastery of skillsets and procedures). We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at Pet+ER.

In 2023, our hospital in Columbia saw just over 9,000 emergency cases.
We have a comprehensive suite of equipment and services all under one roof to handle the most severe animal injuries and illnesses, including: digital radiology, in-house lab, ICU, surgery suites, oxygen ward, and isolation ward.
The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Duration/Commitment
· 9- to 12-month tailored training program with a flexible, rolling start date
· 2-year commitment as an ER clinician at Pet+ER following training

Program Highlights
• 3-to 4-day clinical work week with additional didactic training
• Rotate with other specialty services at Pet+ER - Hunt Valley during the training program

• Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts

• Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
• Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
• Guaranteed base of $130,000 during and after mentorship, with production beginning after completion. No negative accrual.
