Animal Hospital of Rye in Marysville, PA has an opportunity for a full-time Veterinary Specialist! This is a unique opportunity to join an established small animal internal medicine and medical oncology practice. This position would work alongside our current residency-trained Chief of Staff, a generalist with advanced medical and soft tissue surgical skills, and a third associate primarily practicing orthopedic surgery. We offer a more personal, small setting to our clients in contrast to the larger specialty centers.
Our well-equipped facility includes a whole-body and digital dental x-ray, endoscopy, in-house and Antech lab services, GE S7 ultrasound, recently installed 16 slice CT scanner, and an on-site rehabilitation facility. We have a close working relationship with several specialty centers for additional services when needed and all after hours emergencies are covered by a local 24-hour ER.
This position requires completion of an accredited residency in small animal internal medicine or oncology at a minimum. Third year residents and vet school staff are welcome to apply, as well as board qualified/board certified vets. ACVIM Board Qualified/Certified is a plus.
Marysville is located along the Susquehanna River and is boarded by the Appalachian Mountains to the north and south. It is 1.5 hours from Philadelphia and Baltimore and 3.5 hours to NYC and shore points. Outdoor activities include, excellent hiking trails including the Appalachian trail, cycling, and proximity to skiing and snowboarding.
