We need your help! West Virginia has one of the worst track records for humanely caring for homeless and neglected animals. There are currently 793,579 dogs and cats in West Virginia households and of those, 144,114 are not spayed or neutered. In 2020, 23% of animals admitted into West Virginia Shelters were euthanized according to the West Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine (only 24 counties reported).
To address this critical problem, a group of dedicated volunteers formed the Spay Neuter Incentive Program of West Virginia (SNIP WV), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, with the goal of preventing the unnecessary suffering and euthanasia of cats and dogs due to overpopulation and preventable diseases. This is where you can help to make a tremendous contribution to this cause. We are seeking a full-time veterinarian to work in our new, high-quality, high-volume, low-cost spay neuter clinic.
